Sacred Heart Whips Premier
May 2--Matt Herbermann knocked in seven runs to lead Sacred Heart in a 19-9 victory over Premier Mortgage in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center. Herbermann was 5-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and two singles. After three innings, Sacred Heart was on top 10-2. Terry Collins clubbed two doubles and two singles for two RBIs for Sacred Heart, and Carrie Sill belted a threerun homer. Chad Herowitz led Premier with two doubles and two singles for three RBIs. Signs of slowing in UK mortgage demand emerging - BBA
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Signs the UK housing market may be starting to slow emerged today as a leading industry group reported that UK mortgage approvals slowed from a year earlier, while lending remained below its average over the past six months.
In its in-depth analysis of the mortgage market in March, the British Bankers' Association (BBA) said the number of mortgage approvals for house purchase slowed to 75,098 from 85,098 a year earlier.
The value of loans approved also slowed on an annual basis, to 11.3 bln stg from 11.4 bln stg.
Though the figures were up sharply from 54,659 and 8.2 bln stg in February, this reflects seasonal factors as the housing market usually picks up in March from February and January, said David Dooks, director of statistics at the BBA.

Most of us think of only banks being the lender but in the modern world and with the help of the internet the lending institutions now include not only chartered banks, but credit unions, investment institutions, brokerage "A" lenders, "B" or sub-prime lenders, both on the branch or street level and through brokerage lending.
